Heavy
I recently started reading a new blog (as if I need more people's lives to be concerned about! ;)) that my friend, Stephanie, sent me called Little April Rose (http://www.littleoneapril.blogspot.com/). The writer of the blog is pregnant with a little girl (April Rose) who was not expected to live through the pregnancy. She is now 37 weeks and April is still with her. She has started a thing on her blog called "HIS Will Wednesday" where people can send in prayer requests. I was scrolling through the requests, most of which link to people's specific blogs, and came across a request for a baby named Noah. Noah is 5 months old and was born perfectly healthy. Last week, he was at daycare and a daycare worker shook him. Noah is now in a medically-induced coma because of seizures that resulted from being shaken. His parents don't know if he will be okay once he is taken out of the coma and he will have to have an MRI to see if his brain is damaged. (http://www.noahsroad.com/?page_id=23)
This makes my heart so heavy. I started to cry just reading the brief story they have on this blog. I cannot even begin to imagine the parent's anguish in this situation. I cannot fathom getting a phone call to tell me that my child is having seizures because some shook him! Furthermore, I cannot imagine ever doing that to a small, innocent child. It's disgusting. The parents are trying to stay positive and hope for the best for their son. I ask you to pray for them and/or keep them in your thoughts during this incredibly difficult time.
There were so many prayer requests for HIS Will Wednesday. It just makes you realize all of the things going on in people's lives and how we need to be thankful for ours....

If you have a second today, please say a little prayer for me. I have the first of my big, very difficult exams at 1:30 today. Ahh!

Oops!
I just realized that I had my font color in white...and I think I heard that if you read the blog on Google Reader, that you can't see it if I post in white.
Sorry about that! Now it's changed and I hope everyone can see it :) If I do that again, please let me know!

Friday Fill-Ins
I finally looked at someone's blog who had one of these on an actual Friday so I could participate. Yay! This is the most I have time to do right now with studying.

What the "hail" and stacks of reading
First, I have a little craziness from earlier in the week...I got home from my Mini Trial on Wednesday and it had hailed while we had been at school! Only in the China Spring area of Waco, I believe because it hadn't even really rained at school.
Anyway, I came to Fort Worth on Friday after class. Tim and I went and ate at this place called Casa Rosa's - it was good! And then we just came back and hung out at the house because we were both really tired. He got up on Saturday and left to go to Shreveport for his friend Tennessee's bachelor party. He is on his way back right now. I got up Saturday and ran at the gym at the apartment, got some groceries, and then came back and started reading. My goal was to get all the rest of the reading done for the last three days of the quarter so that I could start studying on Monday instead of having to read for class. I got all of Practice Court 1 done on Saturday (read from about Noon until 8:00 PM) and then got one section of Practice Court 2 done between about 8:30 and 11:30 PM. This morning, I got up and read the rest of Practice Court 2 from about 10:00 AM until 3:00 PM. This quarter (10 weeks) in Practice Court 1 only, I have read 3,982 pages of cases. I don't even knnow how much Practice Court 2 is because I printed all those cases myself, so they are not prenumbered. I wanted to show y'all what I read just the past two days to finish up for the quarter.

Go Watch This Right Now
I'm kind of an emotional weirdo, but I cried watching this and I don't think I'm the only one!

Also, it makes me really happy when I find out people who I don't know at all read my blog...Hello followers and hi Gabriel! Even if people only come by once, it's cool to think I'm being read :)

Hmmm...
Since last night the phrase "As I sit here, wondering aloud..." has been in my head. I don't know why. I keep trying to come up with something to go after it to maybe make a poem out of it (I used to dabble a bit in writing poetry until law school stole my soul) but I can't get past the first line.

Easter
Hope everyone had a great Easter!
Tim and I went to Boerne to see my mom and stepdad as well as my grandparents, aunt and uncle, and cousins. It was a nice weekend. Tim golfed on Saturday and I went shopping with the girls and then we went to church and ate lunch on Sunday and came back to Waco. We went to my dad and Nancy's house to eat dinner and then Tim spent the night and went back to Fort Worth this morning.
Last week, we had our second mini trial and it went well. We won and didn't have the "hard" professor, so it wasn't too bad. I have seven days of class left and one mini trial. This mini trial is kicking my butt, though! It's really long and we have to use an expert witness and cross examine an expert witness, so there is a lot of complicated technical jargon and it gives me a headache! We are thinking we might have the hard professor as well, so that adds some more pressure.
I'll try to post something fun this week, but that's about all that's been going on for now.
Happy Monday!

Apartment Pictures
Here they are - sorry I couldn't get them posted last night!
Looking into the dining area from the living room. Ignore Tim and his computer ;)
Close up view of the kitchen area. I'm not sure if I like my arrangement above the cabinets yet.

New Apartment!
Sorry I have taken so long to post again! My mini-trial went well this past week. I have another one this coming Wednesday and then one more the Wednesday after that. Only 12 more days of class and the quarter is over! I can't wait!
We got moved into the new apartment. Tim and the movers moved everything on Wednesday and I came up on Thursday to get everything unpacked and organized. I am posting pictures tomorrow but they aren't the greatest ones. You'll just have to come by and see the place :) Sorry I can't post them tonight but we haven't gotten internet here in Fort Worth yet, so I am stealing from someone and not getting a very good signal. It's going to slow for me to be able to post pictures. I promise I will do it as soon as I get out of class tomorrow!
We didn't do much this week. I had a lot of homework and needed to work on my trial so we kind of just took it easy and watched the basketball games. I found out last night that we aren't having class until 9:00 tomorrow, so I am staying the night in Fort Worth and going back in the morning. Luckily, it's a short week this week because of Easter.
Hope everyone had a great weekend!
