Overwhelmed
I don't know why I feel overwhelmed, but I do. We are starting the move this weekend, which I am so excited about but I started packing things and there is SO much. We were just going to move the small stuff this weekend and I don't even think we will be able to accomplish all that. Also, like I said earlier this week, I am running the half marathon on Sunday and have my first opening statement exercise in PC on Monday plus my homework. I usually like to get ahead over the weekend but I just don't see how that is going to happen this weekend.
Then, I went to the DFW Nest Board (I only get to get on about once a day now! Sad.) and found out another one of the ladies on there had a miscarriage. I think I feel overwhelmed about my life and then it seems like so often lately I am reading about people losing their babies and I feel bad for feeling overwhelmed about my life. I can't even imagine what they are all going through. If you have extra prayers - please keep, in general, people who have lost their children in your prayers.
I know this is all going to go by fast and everything will calm down and things aren't really THAT stressful right now. Just, if you know my personality, I think about all the things I have to do and get done and I let myself get consumed with everything. I would like to say I am going to work on that but I think that's just how I am at this point!
On the bright side, even though it will be a busy weekend, it's about to be the weekend!! Yay! AND, it's only two weeks until I get Spring Break which is even better!
Hope everyone else is having a smooth, easy week :)

Little Diddy About Jack & Diane...
I don't really know what that has to do with anything, but I did listen to that song on my way to school this morning and it made me dance a little :)
Sorry I don't update much anymore. School is so tiring. I can't wait for Spring Break in a couple weeks!!
Tim came in town this weekend again (he's great) and we just kind of had a laid-back weekend. On Friday we ate dinner at Cracker Barrel (YUMMY) and watched TV. Saturday, I had a review for the MPRE, which is the ethics test you have to take in addition to taking the bar to be an attorney. I am taking it on March 7th. Saturday afternoon and night we just hung out at the house - I made dinner and did homework and Tim did some work as well. Sunday we went running, 7.5 miles, and then went to Dad and Nancy's for dinner.
We have our first half-marathon on Sunday. It is called the "Waco Half" by most people but is actually the Scott & White Miracle Match Marathon. I'm really excited about it. Also, we get to start moving in our house this weekend!! So, Tim is going to come here Friday, we are going to load up all the small stuff we can fit in our cars and go start working on moving stuff in and tearing down the wallpaper/painting. Then, we are going to come back to Waco on Saturday so we can run the half on Sunday. Another busy weekend.
Also, next Monday, I have to do my first exercise in PC - an Opening Statement. I have to represent Burger King in a negligence suit. Hopefully it will go well. After I do my opening statement, I have to be the judge for three more. Not like I make the decisions, but if someone objects I have to rule on the objection.
Went to the eye doctor today for the first time in two years. It feels SO good to have new contacts and the doctor was super awesome and let me only pay my copay even though I don't have an insurance card yet because we just got new insurance. I just have to bring her the card next week.
I guess that's about all. Sorry everything has been so boring lately. When I have school so much I don't have time to do anything exciting. Maybe I'll have some pictures after this weekend of the half marathon and some of the new house.
Hope everyone has a great week!

Tucker
Not really Tucker, but it looks like him and cracks me up. I think I'll post a few of my favorite pictures from LoL Catz and LoL Dogs whenever I can't find something better to put up for y'all!

Weekend
I made it through my first week of PC! This weekend we went to Austin for Tim's friend's wedding. John and Diana got married at Mandola Winery in Driftwood, TX. It was beautiful and the food was awesome! Mandola is the cousin of Carrabba and I L-O-V-E Carrabba's so I was pretty excited about it. The wedding was really pretty and the couple was so happy. I really like weddings.
We came back on Sunday and just went to my dad and Nancy's for dinner. I studied so I could get a little ahead to make the week easier for me.
I got called on in both PC classes last week. It didn't necessarily go as wonderful as a hoped, but it wasn't too bad and I didn't get a memo, so that was great! I'm just trying to truck on through and hoping it starts going by really fast.
I don't have too much else to update about - sorry :( I forgot to bring the camera to the wedding so I don't have any pictures to show y'all. I'll try to find some fun and exciting things to post since my life isn't too fun and exciting right now.
Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend!

Better Mood
My friend, Pete, who goes to law school with me posted a music video on my facebook that totally cheered me up. On a survey thing on facebook the other day, I had to put a band that started with the letter "L" and I put "LFO," which is a band that had a couple hits in the late 90s. Pete made fun of me a little and I told him their hit song "Summer Girls" was my favorite song ever. He saw that I was in a bad mood and posted the video of the song for me on facebook. I just finished listening to it and dancing around the room :)
I can't figure out how to post the video directly in this post, so here's the link to it on YouTube.

Go watch it - it will cheer you up, too!
Thanks, Pete!!!

Bad Mood
Tim sent me flowers today. 20 tulips - they are beautiful and came in this really cute pink and red polkadot vase. They are all different colors. His nickname for me is Tulip. I'm not really sure how/when he decided on it but it has been a long time and it's because of tulips being my favorite flower.
Other than that, I am in a really bad mood today. I don't know why. I've been getting pretty good sleep but I think just sitting in class for six hours a day and then coming home and reading for a minimum of four hours just wears me out. I've had two migraines in the past week. Usually it is months and months between each of the migraines I get.
We are going to Austin this weekend for a wedding and I'm excited about getting away for a weekend. I know I'll make it through this. I'm just grumpy...
Hope everyone has had a nice week!

First Day
Sorry I didn't post a weekend update. I will try to do that today, if possible.
Today is my first day of Practice Court. I won't be able to use a computer at all, so I'm not even bringing it to school today. I might end up bringing it later just so I can use it when I have a little break, but I'm going to see how it goes first. If you don't know what Practice Court (dubbed PC by Baylor students) is, go look a few posts down and I explain it.
Hope everyone had a great weekend. Wish me luck!

House!
I finished finals today, yippee! Also, we found a house to rent! I am so excited. It is in the neighborhood we really wanted to be in and is a three bedroom, two bathroom with a great backyard, two living rooms, a dining room, a fireplace, and a really cool little house in the backyard with a bar built into it!
We are going to move in in March, probably over my Spring Break but I won't be living there full time until May. There are a few things we are going to do to it, like change the curtains and paint the two bathrooms. Also, the cabinets in the kitchen have wallpaper on them, so we are going to strip that and paint them. The landlord told us we could do things to it and, if it would improve the value of the house, he would split the cost with us. The carpet in the bedrooms and the second living room is green so that's not the greatest, but it doesn't look too bad so we will keep it.
I am going to post pictures but I want to wait until we get the painting done and stuff moved in and I'll show y'all before and after. I think we might look for a new table and chairs because ours is from WalMart and is over five years old. I'd like to find some that have more than four chairs so we can seat more people. We also might have to get some extra furniture because we don't have enough for two living rooms.
We are so lucky to have found it and would have missed out if Jen from The Nest had not sent me the information. We are very thankful to her and so excited to be in her neighborhood soon :)
Hope everyone has a great Friday!

Uneventful
Well, I'm studying for finals so nothing exciting has happened. I had one on Saturday and I have five more to go. Tim came in for the weekend to keep me company. He got a raise, so I guess that is one exciting thing that happened!
Other than that, I hope everyone enjoys watching the Super Bowl. While you are eating good food, rooting for your team, and drinking your choice beverage, think of me studying for Sentencing and Information Privacy Law! Thank goodness this is the last year that law school will interfere with the Super Bowl for me!
Hope everyone had a great weekend. I'll update on Thursday after I get done with the tests.
