Disappearing Act

We had a busy weekend! Friday, we both worked until 12:00 and then left to go to Boerne for the weekend for Stephanie's wedding and to visit family. We got to Boerne around 6:00 and had hamburgers with my family - my grandparents, aunt and uncle, and cousins also were in town for my uncle's 50th birthday.

Saturday, some of the family went golfing and me and my cousin, Abby, went shopping. When they got back from golfing, we had lunch and then my mom took me to get some maternity jeans and some other maternity clothes. Tim and I went to the wedding Saturday night. Stephanie looked beautiful and I know she and Ross are going to be very happy. We are glad they are going to be living in Dallas so we will be able to hang out with them!

Sunday, we got up and had breakfast, lounged for awhile, and went to lunch at Los Barrios in San Antonio. If you are ever in SA, you seriously need to look this place up and go there. It had the best cheese enchiladas I've ever had in my entire life. And, believe me, I've had a lot of cheese enchiladas. It's kind of in the ghetto but tons of people go there and they have a guy who stands in the parking lot and watches the cars at all times. We left Boerne and stopped in Waco to have dinner with my dad, Nancy, and the kids. It was a yummy dinner and a really yummy trifle (sp?) dessert. They also gave Tim a giftcard to Best Buy for his birthday to use on Wii games. The Wii is something that got stolen when our house got broken into (see post in March about that) but my mom and stepdad are giving Tim their Wii because they don't use it. We ended up not getting back to Fort Worth until almost 10:00 PM and the crashing.

I was supposed to have potentially two trials to help with this week, but one of the defendants took a plea and the defense attorney has pneumonia on the other one, so neither one of them are going this week. Today was still really busy and hopefully the rest of the week will be just as busy so it will go by VERY fast and we can get to Monday to find out what the baby is!

Here is a picture of my belly this week. The "disappearing act" referred to in the post title is about my belly button. I don't think it's going to pop out - I think it's just going to stretch with my belly and completely disappear. I have a really small belly button as it is and it's looking more like it's going away rather than popping out or anything. Maybe I'll take a picture of it next week and show y'all.

Here's what's going on with Baby T this week (last time I'll have to call "it" Baby T!! Yippee!):

Your baby's sensory development is exploding! Her brain is designating specialized areas for smell, taste, hearing, vision, and touch. Some research suggests that she may be able to hear your voice now, so don't be shy about reading aloud, talking to her, or singing a happy tune if the mood strikes you.

Your baby weighs about 8 1/2 ounces and measures 6 inches, head to bottom — about the size of a large heirloom tomato. Her arms and legs are in the right proportions to each other and the rest of her body now. Her kidneys continue to make urine and the hair on her scalp is sprouting. A waxy protective coating called the vernix caseosa is forming on her skin to prevent it from pickling in the amniotic fluid.

And here's a picture. All I've got to say is, if the baby is really like this in the womb this week, I feel very sorry for it.

Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend! Let me know how it was - I don't get enough comments from you guys and, when I do, it totally makes my day :) Oh, and don't forget to vote on the baby poll on the right side if you haven't yet to guess what the baby is! I'll reveal next Monday night.
